During the announcement Microsoft mentioned that the Surface Pro 4 will have the option for 1TB of Storage. They even made it seem like everyone has been asking for it. If you were asking about it, you're going to stop after I break down the pricing.

When it comes to purchasing the 1tb version, you have to go through the configure option on the website. There are three categories that you configure. Those are Processor, Memory, and Storage. Now don't get too excited, you can't just upgrade the storage.

The baseline model is locked with the Intel Core M, 4GB, and 128 gig storage. You have to upgrade the processor in order to change the ram. Choosing the i5 processor unlocks the ram options. You can now upgrade to 8 and 16 gigs. Now choosing the 8GB or 16GB ram options unlock the 256GB and 512GB storage options. Even at this point the 1TB storage option is unavailable. So now we have to change to the i7 processor. Even with the i7 we still have to change it to 16GB of ram for the 1TB storage option to be available. This will cost you $2,699.00. Lets look at laptops that cost around that much.

A 13" Macbook Pro customized with an i7 processor and 1TB of storage costs $2,699.00. A Razer Blade Pro with a 512GB SSD and a 1TB HDD costs $2,799.99. Lets not forget that this is a beast of a laptop. There are other laptops out there that costs half the costs with half the storage.

It just seems like a very high price to get my hands on a  product with ample enough storage and speed. Yes it is a tablet and laptops shouldn't be compared to a tablet. You don't have to tell me, but why does it include a keyboard. Wait...it doesn't. You have to buy that.
